Belline Oracle

The Belline Oracle is named after Belline, a French astrologer and cartomancer from the late 19th century, known for his accurate consultations. He is credited with designing a system of 53 cards with unique symbolism, distinct from tarot, incorporating astrological, numerological, and esoteric influences. Its popularity remained confidential until the Grimaud Editions published an illustrated version in 1966, which widely disseminated it. Each card bears a name ("The House", "The Journey", "The Enemy"…) and a number, making it accessible without extensive training. It is now a classic of Francophone divination. It differs from tarot by the absence of trumps and suits: 53 independent cards, each with a symbol and an explicit title. The reading relies on the combinatorial interpretation of the drawn cards, their relative position, and the context of the question. Common methods include linear draws (3, 5, or 7 cards), the tableau method, and the complete grand game. The direct symbolic language facilitates quick understanding and precise answers.

Valued for its ability to directly answer concrete questions: love life, professional developments, family dynamics, travel. Its cards with explicit names allow for quick identification of the themes at play. It is an oracle of clarity, ideal for a clear return rather than a complex symbolic exploration.
